Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

Siltbuster operates the UK’s largest and most versatile fleet of DAF units, enabling rapid mobilisation for seasonal peaks, planned works, emergencies, contingency planning, and temporary treatment.

All units are pre‑manufactured and fully tested off‑site, and are supplied with an energy‑efficient white‑water system that removes the need for compressed air, reducing power use, noise, and footprint. With flow rates from 1m³/hr to over 100m³/hr, units can operate individually or in parallel as part of modular, plug‑and‑play solutions.

Our DAF systems are designed to remove buoyant or near‑neutral solids such as fats, oils, greases, organic matter, and algae across sectors, including food and drink production, industrial manufacturing, municipal wastewater, recycling, potable water treatment, and environmental remediation. Effective solids removal also helps reduce COD, supporting compliance with discharge consents, lowering Mogden charges, and reducing the biological load on downstream processes.

Units are sized based on both flow and solids loading to ensure the optimal solution for hire or purchase.
