How we do it
Biological treatment
Siltbuster’s Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors (MBBR) provide packaged, plug‑and‑play aerobic biological treatment that is simple to operate and maintain.
Using media with a specific area of up to 800m²/m³, each unit delivers significantly greater treatment capacity within the same footprint compared with traditional mobile solutions such as Submerged Aerated Filters (SAFs).
Engineered for performance and resilience, the system combines efficient diffuser aeration, duty/standby blowers, and dissolved oxygen control to optimise treatment while minimising energy use. The moving media supports robust fixed‑film growth, avoids the need for scour cycles, and offers rapid recovery from shock loads—making MBBR a reliable solution for municipal and temporary wastewater treatment applications.

Chemical dosing
Siltbuster’s market‑leading Chemical Dosing Systems provide accurate, automated chemical delivery to safely treat even the most challenging waters.
Whether adjusting pH, precipitating dissolved metals, or coagulating fine solids, our systems help the Water sector consistently achieve — and exceed — strict discharge limits. A wide range of dosing and mixing configurations is available to suit different flows, applications, and treatment objectives.
Our specialist team works closely with clients to identify the most effective solution for each site. Raw water samples are quickly analysed by our in‑house laboratory and environmental scientists, ensuring every system is tailored for optimal performance.

How we do it
Monitoring
Clarity by Siltbuster offers not only data logging of discharged water, but more significantly, alarm notifications either via SMS (text message) or email, should the equipment detect non-compliant water passing the strategically placed monitoring probes.
Whilst data logging on its own provides a crucial audit trail that can be used to prove site compliance to regulators, it’s the alarm notifications and control that look to revolutionise water management.
Using a purely data logging approach runs an inherent risk, due to the data often being downloaded at irregular intervals, and breaches are only discovered after the event, and potentially because of a regulatory investigation.
